Thiruvananthapuram City Police will conduct an anti-drug awareness cycle rally and walkathon on June 26, 2026, in connection with International Anti-Drug Day.
The event is being organised as part of Operation Toofan under the message “Moving Together for a Drug-Free Tomorrow.” Students from different schools, Student Police Cadet members, and Toofan Warriors are expected to take part in the programme.
The event will begin at 8 am from Manaveeyam Veedhi. Health Minister K. Muraleedharan will inaugurate the programme and flag off the cycle rally and walkathon.
Thiruvananthapuram City Deputy Police Commissioner Anjali Bhavana will deliver the welcome address. South Zone Inspector General of Police Spurjan Kumar, Deputy Police Commissioner Deepak Dhankar, and Sports Authority of India Thiruvananthapuram Regional Centre Director Dr. Sharath Chandra Yadav are also expected to attend.
City Police Commissioner Dr. Arul R. B. Krishna will distribute badges to Toofan Warriors. Deputy Police Commissioner Anjali Bhavana will lead the anti-drug pledge.
The rally will start from Manaveeyam Veedhi and pass through Kanakakunnu, Museum, RR Lamp, War Memorial, VJT, and Secretariat before ending at Central Stadium.
